SHOW SUMMARY
Set in Concord, Massachusetts, during and after the Civil War, Little Women follows the four March sisters as they grow from girlhood into young womanhood while their father is away serving in the Union Army. Responsible Meg longs for a comfortable life, fiery Jo dreams of becoming a writer, gentle Beth finds joy in music and family, and spirited Amy hopes to become an artist and make her mark on society.
Guided by their wise and loving mother, Marmee, the sisters face poverty, ambition, first love, and heartbreak. Their lives become intertwined with Laurie, the charming boy next door, whose friendship with Jo brings both delight and difficult choices. As each sister follows her own path, the family learns that growing up means letting go, and that the bonds of sisterhood can endure even life's greatest losses.
Based on Louisa May Alcott's beloved 1868 novel, this timeless story of family, resilience, and the courage to forge your own way continues to inspire audiences of every generation.
SENSORY BAGS The Little Theatre strives to create an inclusive theatre experience for everyone. To support this, we will have sensory bags on site to utilize during performances. We have carefully selected products that are essential for restoring a sense of calm, including some fidget fun. Additionally, a designated quiet space is available just outside the theatre doors for anyone needing a break. Please ask an usher for directions.
